Title Here
We specialize in working with adolescents or adults who are resistant to treatment options, and in many cases refuse to get help, and go to treatment. We have extensive experience in working with adolescents who suffer from mental illness, or psychiatric conditions, adolescents who are using or who have used various street or prescription drugs, and adolescents with suicidal, homicidal and self-harm tendencies.
At True North Mentors we do a thorough clinical interview with the family prior to meeting the adolescent. We believe the personal interview helps us understand the family’s particular situation. We do not have you fill out an intake form online, we ask you in a personalized interview with the person who will be working with YOUR family!
We believe this personal touch helps the family feel more comfortable with the actual person who will be working with them. This thorough, and comprehensive interview allows us to devise the best plan possible, which results in the safest and most effective intervention.
Services
Transportation Services are offered when an adolescent or adult needs to safely travel from one location to another with secure field agents. Usually the adolescent or adult needs to go from home to a program, one program to another program, or court to a facility or program. Quite often our services are utilized because,
- • The adolescent or adult refuses to go to treatment on their own.
- • The adolescent will try to run away if treatment is suggested or initiated.
- • The adolescent or adult might be a danger to themselves.
- • The adolescent or adult might be a danger to others.
- • The client is being transferred from one program to another, and for whatever reasons the parents can’t or shouldn’t transfer the adolescent by themselves.
- * The adolescent or adult client will comply with the agents, but possibly will not listen to their family.
Servies
Safety is our primary concern. At True North Mentors we plan the intervention and transportation carefully, and we use our extensive experience to make sure the adolescent or adult is safe at all times. We are very careful to explain every step throughout the transportation process. At Safe Interventions we understand this is a very tough day for both the client, and the family. We try to be as informative and reassuring as we can. We believe, the more information a family or client has, the more comfortable they feel. Intervention Services usually occur immediately prior to transportation services. After a clinical phone interview, we will make arrangements to travel to your area when convenient for you and your family. Once in your area, we will briefly meet with the family, and then the family will introduce the agents to the adolescent or adult client. We will have a plan personalized to your families needs.
Once the adolescent or adult client understands everything, and is ready to go to treatment, the agents and client will begin traveling. At True North Mentors, we will keep the family, and professionals updated and informed of what is happening at all times. If you have completed or are close to completing your adolescent or adult client admission to a program, please contact us for in depth information about us and the services we offer.
Companion Travel is when an adolescent or an adult is willing to go to a designated location but needs professional, caring support while traveling. We can accompany the client while traveling, and offer both emotional and logistical support. We are expert travelers who can adjust plans as needed while traveling.
